For many years I was a seven-shots-of-coffee a day drinker, unknowingly dehydrating my body and placing huge stress on my adrenals. That all changed when I noticed a grey mark appear in my eye.

I decided to make some changes and let go of coffee.

I tried my first cacao not long after and immediately fell in love. I could feel my heart opening and I experienced higher states of love and joy.

I immediately ordered my own supply. I began sharing it with others and having my own daily cacao ritual which led me to decide to purchase larger quantities wholesale. I made my first order and thought I had purchased ceremonial cacao paste, I had in fact ordered 25kgs of ceremonial cacao powder.

With no idea what to do with this new product, I began testing out recipes with Kate before we landed on the ideal flavour and received the idea to launch our own cacao products under our brand, Good Rising Cacao.

We incorporated medicinal mushrooms into our products and proceeded to build a large scale small business, factory and all.

Like most, my journey with cold exposure began because I had heard so many speak of the unlimited benefits for overall wellbeing and health.

I signed up to a retreat called Fire and Ice where I got to experience those benefits first hand. It was challenging and inspiring and I left excited to have this new tool in my own home.

I purchased an inflatable ice bath, filled it with water and after a few goes, I packed it up, knowing it wasn’t what I wanted.

A few months later, a friend suggested I get a chest freezer and turn it into an ice bath. I found a second hand chest freezer, sealed it up and the cold exposure journey rebooted in a big way.

I began a daily practice, noticing the effects it was having on regulating my nervous system, boosting my energy, supporting my body in recovering and a whole host of incredible shifts.

The only challenge, I couldn’t keep looking at this ugly white chest freezer on my deck and in this moment, Vital Plunge was born.

In 2018, I gained the awareness that the liquid we consume matters as our bodies are made up mostly of water. I removed alcohol from my life and began researching and testing water filters.

In 2021 I was blessed by a friend who leant me a Kangen K8 machine for two months. It was apparent very quickly that this machine was remarkable as I began feeling the best I had ever felt.

Brain fog disappeared, my skin was clearer, I began making healthier lifestyle choices, I felt energised and hydrated. I knew that I had to purchase my own machine as going back to other filters or tap water was no longer a viable option for my health.

I invested into my health and also wanted to ensure I could pay it forward to others in the way I had just experienced so I purchased two K8 machines and an Anespa.
